The world has frozen over, and the last remnants of humanity are aboard a super long and advanced train (the titular "Snowpiercer") which circumnavigates the globe. The main problem is that while the front of the train is full of luxury and the upper class, all those crammed in the tail end of the train are treated as third world garbage. As with most oppressed people this is the tale of their revolt, to be more than what they are.
This is one crowded train.

I'd eagerly watch this again at the drop of a hat, and give it four doors out of five.
I found the concept to be interesting, but overall didn't really much care for it. It's one of those "not sorry I saw it once" things. But if asked, I can't say that I'd really recommend it either.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply Magson! Always good to hear opposing views ... :D. What was the -worst- part of it for you?
DeleteI'm going to go with the "School" section. Just curious if we have the same answer. :P
I love the esthetic of this movie, (based on a french comic) but my main issue was with all the illogical aspect of this movie : mainly this train shall not work. Part of the movie is a story of a closed ecosystem - and a small one at it is a train - but the information we have on this ecosystem make no sense.
ReplyDeleteHehe, wouldn't the illogical aspect stem from the comic it was based of then? I really wish they explained how they handle people farting in the enclosed carriages though. :P
DeleteThanks for the comment Ettesiun!
