This uplifting series follows the mom of three Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) during her time in the White House as the Secretary of State where she tackles issues that are often mirrored from actual events. Much like "
The Crown" this series relies on its great writing and comedic banter as it has very few action scenes in its 6 season run.
She's easy on the eyes too. :P
It helps that Tea Leoni is backed by a great cast of actors, my favorites of whom are Tim Daly as Henry McCord, Elizabeth's husband, and Zeljko Ivanek as Russel Jackson the White House Chief of Staff. If you like or don't mind a show about politics, then this one is definitely worth a shot.
