Starting from next month my local grocery store is going to stop using free plastic bags. As someone who uses these as bin liners / trash bags, that slightly annoys me but I realize that a lot of other places must already have this ban in place.
So for people in similar circumstances, what did you do? Purchase plastic bags or stop using bin liners altogether? Not using liners seems icky to me, but I'd like to hear your experiences if you are willing to share. :)
We started purchasing bin liners specifically. It really wasn't that big a deal as each roll lasts us for quite a long time.

ReplyDeleteOk here is a definitive take on grocery bags and recyling.https://www.facebook.com/namelessnetworksavetheworld/videos/403460643480701/
ReplyDeleteI used to use them for this as well, but only for "secondary" bins in the household, e.g. in the bathroom. Every house/flat I ever lived in had the big kitchen bin be so big that you'd have to buy the big ones anyway.
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, I think I once in my life threw out a big ball of saved up ones, apart from that my conscience is relatively clear as they all got reused once for trash. Since using reusable bags no new big ball of old bags has accumulated in the closet :)
