Skyrim: A Death of Infinite Spears

Adventures in Skyrim - spoilers ahead! You can follow the rest of the story here!

With the keys from the General's quarters we gain access to the "Jail cells" which really should be renamed to utterly BS corridors of traps. Fillin was silly enough to try follow me through and died a death of infinite spears (a cluster of auto-triggering spear traps). Fortunately Eydis knew how to obey a wait command.

I can do it, trust me! (Famous last words)

Even without the traps, the jail was really more a guarded mausoleum, featuring Thalmor brutes and necromancers doing nasty things to the dead. Fortunately none of them were immune to their own traps which made things a little easier. Their resident executioner had some nice gear too, for a relatively easy mook. He also wore a key to the manor. Because that's the guy you want to hang on to your house keys right?

Wake up in the middle of the night due to a strange noise, see a hooded guy with a large axe. I'm sure you'd also breathe a sigh of relief!

Apparently burning beheadings need to be censored.

Skyrim: Head Ambassador

Adventures in Skyrim - spoilers ahead! You can follow the rest of the story here!

My new strike force was composed of Fillin the Nord Rogue, the Sarethi sisters Nathala and Nathyne, Okan-Shei the Argonian and Eydis the Quiet (a bard who doesn't sing). After gearing up (translation: me giving them gear) we traveled to the Thalmor Embassy with the simple objective of killing all the bastard invaders in a speedy night assault.

You have failed this hold!

The Thalmor are backed by their Imperial allies here in the form of Penitus Oculatus agents, and Nathala is vaporized by a wizard commander in the opening assault. Simply defeating the guards isn't enough to gain access though, so we need to get creative by finding alternate routes into the buildings via a nearby well - which happens to be inhabited by really strong zombies that devour Okan-Shei.

The underground tunnels do give us access to the Penitus Oculatus barracks though, where in the melee Nathyne is slain by the stationed Imperial General Calvus. My response to that was killing all his guys, then doing this.

And now he's a head shorter.
