Blaugust Prep Week: Listen to Advice

This is very fitting being the last of my Blaugust Prep Week series for this year. There's already a ton of good advice out there, most of which you can find in the Blaugust Discord channel.

I'm going to do just that and follow Wilhelm's advice (which I only saw through Bhagpuss' post) of:

Don’t worry that somebody else has already posted about a topic if you want to write about it.

My previously cancelled Day 2 post is one that echoes Syp. The best way to stay on time is to stay ahead. Have posts ready to go. Sure, there are times when it's a struggle to write but other times the words just seem to flow. Use that extra creativity and prepare future posts. That's what I try to do, and apparently I'm not alone.

  1. I like these posts you’ve been doing. My first three posts are written and scheduled. I’ll just try to keep writing ahead. We can do this :)

    1. Thanks Atherne! Yeah, don't rest on your laurels (prepped posts) as they tend to go quickly if you idle. :P

  2. I always take inspiration from posts other bloggers have written. Of course I don't steal or anything, but if someone writes a top I think would be interesting to write about, I do it. Blogging is all about having an opinion.

I am also a big fan or scheduling. I like to write posts ahead and schedule them out. It's saving my butt for Blaugust because I know I wouldn't be able to crank out a post every day if I was writing them the day before or the day of. I get in a writing mood, and I keep writing post after post until I feel like stopping.

That's a super great line I will probably quote one day. Thanks Ocean Mariee. :)
