I just like systems with trade-offs that you need to decide if they are worth it. Using it in a MMO could be pretty interesting too. Like in your example, with a fire potion. If the person/group is just fighting fire-based enemies wouldn't be a problem. But what if they fight a wizard that can cast both fire or ice spells? Do they risk it, hoping the wizard will use mostly fire spells? Or do they play it safe and don't use the potion, just taking on whatever spells come their way?<br /><br />Or with healing potions. They could bring a ton with them and keep jugging it hoping they won't have to use it so much they get poisoned or they could just bring their healer friend and avoid any side-effects.Rakunohttp://shardsofimagination.comnoreply@blogger.com
